Qasturi, the Malay language word for "musk", is the creation of Sydney-based Malay Australian Roslan Ibrahim and comprises a unique range of luxurious scented candles and reed diffusers designed to create an atmosphere of comfort and serenity. Inspiration for the fragrances come from a variety of exotic locations and all Qasturi candles and reed diffusers are individually hand-made and hand-poured by Roslan in his Darlinghurst studio with meticulous attention to detail to maintain the highest possible quality. His Signature Candles Collection and Travel Collection are made using the finest natural soy wax and premium quality fragrance oils.

“I first discovered scented candles as a young boy growing up in a poor family in Singapore. I used to help out by selling my mother’s traditional cakes door-to-door and one day one of my neighbours was burning a scented candle and I was amazed by the wonderful fragrance. So I started scraping together what little pocket money I had to buy my own scented candles and I treasured every opportunity to burn them and they made me feel tranquil and relaxed”  Roslan Ibrahim, Qasturi founder

After immigrating to Australia in 2010, Roslan learned to make his own scented candles and reed diffusers and has now turned his life-long passion into an exciting enterprise, Qasturi.

Having had personal experience of the importance of a good education in empowering people to lift themselves out of poverty, Roslan is particularly moved by the plight of children living in poverty in Cambodia. So Qasturi is taking steps to help break the cycle of poverty in Cambodia by donating 10% of all profits to the Cambodian Children’s Trust Australia (CCTA), a community-development organisation, co-founded by Australian Tara Winkler, which promotes family-based care and support services for vulnerable children in the Battambang community.
